Initial Player Ratings For CRS:

We emphasize the importance of the starting point for a Computerized Rating System (CRS).

While waiting for CourtReserve to integrate CRS ratings, we will continue to manage our CRS rating, independently from CourtReserve. Players involved in the process will have their CRS rating updated every week and posted on our website's CRS Ladder page.

Players' initial computerized ratings will be the mid-point between their current Club Rating and the next .25 level. For example, a 3.00 player would start with a CRS rating of 3.125.

If a player believes their current Club Rating is too low, we have one-time appeals process to increase their CRS initial rating.  If approved, it will enhance the likelihood of a player’s CRS rating exceeding the minimum threshold of the next level at the end of the rating period.

To be clear, a successful appeal will increase the player’s CRS rating. Changes to a club rating will only occur after completing at least 15 games in a CRS event. (Link to appeals process).
