PebbleCreek Pickleball Club Remembrance Wall Criteria

“Honoring those who built our community—on and off the courts.”

The PebbleCreek Pickleball Club Remembrance Wall is established to respectfully recognize and honor members of our community who have passed away and made meaningful contributions to the club and its culture of Fun, Fitness, and Friendships.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for inclusion on the Memorial Wall, an individual must meet the membership requirement and at least one contribution pathway outlined below.

1. Membership Requirement (Minimum Threshold)

The individual must have been:

  • An active club member for a minimum of two (2) years, OR

  • A Lifetime Member of the PebbleCreek Pickleball Club

2. Contribution Pathways

A. Active Member at Time of Passing

  • Any qualifying member who was actively participating in club play, programs, events, or volunteer activities at or near the time of their passing.

B. Legacy Contributions

  • Founding or early members who helped establish the club

  • Individuals who made significant contributions to the growth and development of the club, including but not limited to:

    • Club leadership (e.g., Board or committee service)

    • Program development (ratings, events, instruction, etc.)

    • Court development, expansion, or facility enhancements

    • Sponsorship development or community partnerships

    • Long-term volunteerism that materially impacted club operations or culture

 

Honoree Recognition

Each approved honoree will be recognized with:

  • A permanent plaque displaying:

    • Name

    • Year of Passing

 

Nomination Process

 

Who May Nominate

  • Any current club member

 

Submission Requirements

 

A written nomination must include:

 

  • Full name of the individual

  • Year of passing

  • Summary of membership history

  • Description of contributions and justification based on eligibility criteria

 

Submission Timeline

 

  • Nominations should be submitted within nine (9) months of the individual’s passing

  • Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of the Board for extraordinary circumstances

 

Review, Approval & Cost

  • All nominations will be:​

    • Evaluated against the established criteria

    • Reviewed by the PebbleCreek Pickleball Remembrance Committee

 

  • Approval requires:​

    • Majority vote of the Remembrance Committee (consistent with club governance policy)

 

  • Cost information:

    • When the individual that submitted the nomination is notified of approval they will be advised of the material cost to be paid for the plaque.

Guiding Principle

 

The Remembrance Wall is not based solely on longevity, but on meaningful connection, contribution, and impact on our community.

 

Limitations & Intent

To preserve the significance and integrity of the Memorial Wall:

  • Inclusion is intended to recognize impactful contributions, not solely participation

  • Not all members who pass away will qualify for inclusion

  • The Remembrance Committee retains discretion to interpret criteria in alignment with the spirit of this policy
